DO YOU THINK THAT AS THE WORLD IS CHANGING, THE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT IN THE COMPANIES SHOULD ALSO CHANGE?

I do believe that the human resources management in the companies should change, because it is well known that the "millenials" (people currently below 30 years old) have a different mentality on regards of their employment, so the type of compensations they are searching for go further than just a good salary. Millenials want independence, they want to be creative and come up with their own ideas, they don't want to feel like they have to do everything their boss says and they don't want to feel supervised all the time. Because of this, I think it is responsability of the Human Resources team to recognize this changes on the working force and adapt the company so that their employees are happy.

Well, in my opinion Human resources have to be changing because everything is in change, first governments create new laws every year, like civil rights, or that before a company didn't have to hire a person with disabilities if they didn't want to, but now is a requirement. Another point is the changes on our generations, like technology and globalization, only twenty years before everything was made by hand and no electronic devices, and now it is computerized, like you can find people in LinkedIn looking for a job, even in Facebook there are companies that hire in there, so companies have to adapt to the new tools. Also is very necessary to stay updated because there always are new strategies, new ways to recruit people. Also the workplace in companies like Google are really different than the usual place, a closed office, now employees are more free, they don't have to work with a suit, is very interesting how the human resources policies have been modified to our generation, a generation open minded. So I think is very important to be ready for the change and not be in the same place always, because that can be a big problem, if we are so out of date that can affect the development of the workplace, of the employees.

I think yes because now companies to cheer colaborators they need more charities today the RSE and the human talent are the top in the big companies that mean a change in human resource management, know what colaborators are attracted for, what are their preferences are necessary questions to delivery of value and so now i think that human resource management is not only a pay to colaborators for a work made. Now they can not leave people with big attitudes and less studies out of work, human resource have to create schools within company.

  5. YES! I definitely believe that the HR management should change as everything around us is evolving. Lately, a lot of new protective rights and laws have developed. For example, there is currently a new trend going on which is the fight against discrimination and acceptance of gay rights. The world is wanting to become more diverse and is wanting equal treatment no matter the gender, race, religion or sexual orientation. HR Management should make necessary adjustments so that their workers, not only feel safe and protected, but feel motivated to give back as they make an effort to deliver great results. I agree with the fact that the more innovative the work environment is, the more talented people will attract resulting in higher motivation and better results.

  6. Yes, I definitely agree with this statement the human resource management in the companies should change, because I think people ppeople are constantly changing is why this department should work based on employee behaviors and ways to keep them happy and motivated.
    When a company has employees happy with their jobs and their duties have better job performance. On the Other Hand, human resources must have strong leaders always being willing to collaborate in motivating employees besides sharing the vision of the company as well as the objectives and goals. Human resources should always be open to any suggestions from employees for a continuous improvement and better performance.

I believe that the world is always changing, and with it, its preferences, necessities, etc. As it is said on the video, Human resources have been changing through the years due to recognizing or accepting the rights of people and therefore trying to be more just to them. After all as we said in class, the human force, is the base of every activity in a company and if we want to be successful, we need to veil for our workers needs so if they feel happy with what they have, they will give their full potential to the job they are doing. It’s important to clarify that not everyone wants or needs the same to be happy/satisfied. Some people want flexible hours, others more salary, someone else health benefits, and so on, and that even due if you are giving them something good but is not what they really need, you won’t be having the full potential of your employees.

  8. I do believe human resources managment should evolve as we as society change. As we get to find out more about ourselves as humans, and we get to understand more how to be better, how to be more productive, how to be happier in the work enviroment, the way managment deal with their workers needs to change. For example, 40 years ago it was a common believe that in order to be productive people had to be in the office, dress very formal in a very grey enviroment, working non stop. However its now proven that people are more productive and happier with their jobs when it becomes more about results not about the time spent in a office, or when they can dress a little more casual, more confortable. How a nap, a colorful and fun enviroment can improve significally their productivity. Google is a good example of a company who has embraced changes in the way they treat their people.
    Bottom line, we humans are complex, we´re always changing therefore HHRR managment should be flexible enough to change as well.

I think that definitely HR management has to evolve around what humans do and since we are in constant change, of course they have to change, also you can not keep doing the same and expect different or better results, and everyone wants to be better so yes, in order to achieve that, they have to change. There are every day new discoveries about how we humans respond better to certain ways of teaching or at work, so they have to read about this and apply them in their companies in order to always be number 1.
